In a unique position, on the Piedmont side of the Gran Paradiso National Park at 1752 m above sea level, there is this recently renovated hut, part of an ancient group of houses immersed in the silence and unspoiled nature of the Park. In ancient times it was a stable that the old "bergèr", the herdsmen, used as a refuge for flocks and herds grazing on the mountain pastures. Purchased and readapted to home in 1980, it has recently undergone a restyling that has given it new life. La Baita is located about 7 km upstream of the municipality of Ceresole Reale, in Chiapili Superiori: it is an independent house, with a garden and a private veranda overlooking the larches and spruces woods of the valley and the glaciers that divide the Orco valley from the Val- d'Isere in France.

The Valley and the Baita
The living area consists of a bright open space, with wall kitchen, electric oven and dishwasher; a comfortable and large double sofa bed with chaise longue and pouf-bed, bathroom with spacious showers and large window.

An internal wooden staircase leads to the attic, recently renovated, also equipped with window and door for external access, bathroom with shower and two single beds.

Total beds are 5. Heating is guaranteed by electric Vortice convectors on the wall and by an antique white "putagè", the wood stove with cast iron rings.
The basement, not used as a dwelling but used as a cellar, houses a small service bathroom where the washing machine is present.

The rental rates of the hut are as follows:

70 euros per day in the months of June and September

80 euros per day in the month of July

100 euros per day in August, including expenses.

The National Park
This exclusive area of the Gran Paradiso National Park allows you to observe the rarest specimens of local flora and fauna. chamois, ibex, marmots, stoats, golden eagles.
At the Ceresole Reale lake it is possible to windsurf, canoe, sail, kayak, cycle the lake.
(in 2019 the city was a stage of the 102nd Giro d'Italia).
Along the valley that hosts the hut there are numerous GTA paths to enjoy walking and trekking, and excursions to numerous alpine huts; rock climbing is possible in summer and frozen waterfalls in winter, as well as cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering trails.
The paved road reaches the Savoia refuge at Colle del Nivolet, at an altitude of 2641 meters above sea level
